The ultimate beauty of the west. This stretch of land is named after the mythical son of Theseus. The wild landscape with its steep slopes and deep gorges, is one of the last areas of Cyprus to remain untouched by human hand. As a result, it has managed  to become an important haven for flora and fauna.

Itineraries

Jour 1

Arrive and Transfer at the hotel/agrotouristic establishment

If time permits, a stroll around the village

Jour 2

Around Droushia village. (12 km, 5 hours)

A circular trail through Laona landscape. You will walk within the rich flora of the area, mostly with pine trees and vineyards and some tiny traditional villages (Droushia, Inia, Kritou Tera). Night at Droushia agrotouristic establishment.

Jour 3

Drousha to Latshi harbour. (20 km, 7 hours)

A linear trail up to the north-west coast of Cyprus. You will pass through a part of Akamas peninsula and protected national forest and you will arrive at the hotel on a pebbles beach next to the picturesque harbour of Latshi. Night at the hotel.

Jour 4

From the hotel to the Akamas peninsula. (16 km, 5 hours)

You will discover the unspoiled area of Akamas with some of the greatest hidden spots of the area: the baths of Aphrodite, the ruins of the palace of Rigena. It is a combination of two small trails, the Aphrodite and Adonis trails. Night at the hotel near Latshi.

Jour 5

From the hotel to Lara beach. (25 km, 8 hours)

You will explore the rest of Akamas forest. You will start from an alternative path of the trail of Aphrodite and go up to the edge of akamas peninsula before descending from the other side towards Lara beach. You will explore the unique area of the peninsula with amazing little beaches, the fountain Amoroza, the blue lagoon and the protected turtle’s refuge of Lara beach. There you will meet with a vehicle which will take you at the hotel at Ayios Georgios of Peyia.

Jour 6

From Ayios Georgios to Pano Arodes. (18 km, 6 hours)

Discover the best-known gorge of Cyprus, Avakas, and then proceed to the rural area of west Paphos, with cultivated lands, fertile valleys, amazing views, until Pano Arodes village where you will spend your night in an agrotouristic establishment.

Jour 7

Départ

If time permits, a stroll around the area before the transfer to the airport for the departure.
